Drawings inspired by Friends With The World
Ways to Use Michelle’s Music:
Friends With The World:
In collaboration with Victoria Harbison, Michelle previously served on the Board of Turn The Page Uganda, a non governmental agency whose vision is to serve hundreds of students in Northern Uganda by delivering textbooks and supplies to them.
Victoria asked the children to draw about what it means to be Friends With The World. These pictures show children supporting others who are ill, feeding the animals and supporting their friends.
Michelle welcomes your vision of Friends With The World.
If you are selected, Michelle will announce it on her podcast and it will be uploaded on her website.
Other ways the song and book can be utilized to support children’s understanding of friendship:
Children can draw about ways in which they can support themselves, others and the world.
Create a collaborative collage related to friendship needs.
Add an additional verse at the end of the song.
I Deserve
Discuss the definition of deserve and how that impacts our self-esteem and self-concept.
What do you think the songwriter is trying to communicate in this song?
